In our interactive workshop, we find out which competencies the accountant of the future will need in their daily work. The session ends with a fun quiz!
Working at Grant Thornton Arnhem
As a junior, you are immediately part of the team. You have client contact and some of these clients can be internationally oriented. You are involved in the preparation, execution, and completion of assignments.
In the assurance, you will be working for large SME and corporate clients within a wide variety of branches. You perform substantive and system-based audit procedures and you are responsible for conducting figure assessments and relationship checks on financial statement items. Collaborating with your immediate colleagues is essential, but you also form a multidisciplinary team with tax specialists and other specialists.
In general practice, there are two positions: the constituent accountants and the tax advisors.
As a constituent accountant, you provide a correct representation of the financial situation of our clients. Our clients trust you and assume that you offer them optimum security of compliance with relevant regulations. As a junior within the compilation practice, you are jointly responsible for compiling annual accounts. In addition, you are responsible for booking the administration of our clients. Finally, you take care of the corporate income tax and income tax returns and you perform the associated administrative work. Working together with your colleagues is important.
As a junior tax advisor, you assist the (senior) advisors in the preparation of tax advice. These recommendations concern, for example, business forms, restructuring, and loan relationships. You also prepare income and corporation tax returns. Finally, you help to audit the tax aspects of annual accounts in collaboration with our accountants. You will perform work for companies in various branches within the (higher) SME segment, DGs and wealthy individuals. Naturally, you are professional and tactful when dealing with our clients and other external relations.
